## Welcome to Living University Network 's space in the Gathering Grove
You're the steward here. This is your project's home in the ReGen Civics community.
Start by introducing yourself: who you are, what this land holds, and what you're building. People want to know the human behind the project.

Francois is a graduate in plant food production with a degree in soil conservation, and his journey of learning has never truly paused. From early on, he has been driven by one central question: how can human settlements integrate harmoniously and intelligently within natural ecosystems? This inquiry has guided years of study and hands-on exploration in tropical horticulture, food forestry, regenerative landscaping, aesthetic design, living architecture, feng shui, geobiology, nutrition, holistic health solutions, and personal development. Over time, these passions converged into a larger vision — innovating a way of living in which human vitality and ecological regeneration are not goals to chase, but natural outcomes of a well-designed system.
Born in Canada, Francois felt a strong call toward the tropics, where biodiversity and regenerative potential are abundant. That calling eventually led him to a beautiful island in Nicaragua, where he is now dedicated to creating spaces designed for life to truly thrive — for the land, for the community, and for the individual.
Living University Network (LUN)
### Creating the conditions for people, community, and nature to flourish together
The **Living University Network (LUN)** is an initiative to develop a new generation of human-scale, regenerative communities designed around the interconnected needs of people and the living world. Rather than focusing on a single dimension of sustainability, LUN integrates individual development, heart-centered community life, education, economic autonomy, ecological regeneration, and living architecture into one coherent system. Its foundational premise is that when we intentionally create the conditions for human flourishing, ecological vitality, meaningful contribution, and genuine relationships, we can develop ways of living that are both deeply fulfilling and practically sustainable.
The first Living University will serve as a **living prototype, productive ecological system, and center for learning and research**. A primary objective is to master regenerative fresh plant-food production: meeting the community's needs, generating surplus for surrounding populations, improving long-term soil fertility, and contributing to regional food security and economic resilience. Alongside food production, the prototype will explore integrated water and energy systems, natural and mineral architecture, diversified enterprises, community organization, and educational processes that support both practical self-sufficiency and personal development. These systems will be experienced, tested, documented, and progressively refined through real-world implementation.
LUN's distinctive purpose extends beyond establishing one successful community. It aims to **transform lived experience and collective wisdom into transferable knowledge, practical methodologies, and increasingly effective ways of developing regenerative settlements**. Each Living University will develop its own identity according to its people, land, culture, and capacities, while contributing its discoveries and lessons to a shared Network. Over time, this network will function as a distributed learning system, helping future communities build upon what has already been learned rather than repeatedly starting from scratch. The long-term vision is a growing network of places where people can live, learn, create, and regenerate together—and where each new Living University strengthens the collective intelligence of the whole.
