**Tao Hermitage** is a mature regenerative land project based in Ashland Oregon, United States.
**Vision**
Tao Hermitage is nine bedrooms temple retreat space sitting on some of the most potent land we have found on this earth, land where the grids hold a potent energy for acceleration. We are opening it to people who already understand the sacredness of the grounds, gridwork, people doing conscious immersions, ceremony, and retreat facilitation and we are pricing it so that every night booked puts funds into restoring the land around it.
The retreat center helps pay for what the land needs.
Every dollar that moves through Tao Hermitage moves in two directions at once. It runs and grows the retreat space and it feeds the Collective Community Fund, the pool of money the whole HOME community draws from and decides together how to spend: restoring springs, planting the orchard, cutting fire breaks before the next fire season instead of after, building trails, extra housing and permanently protecting the ceremonial ground so it is never touched.
Tao Hermitage sits inside HOME, the roughly 2000-acre neighborhood collective growing up on the hills of Ashland Oregon. This plan lays out how the space pays for itself starting in year one, how it funds the mountain's restoration from the first booking forward,and how everyone who joins HOME gets a real voice in what happens next.

**Scale:** 58 hectares
**Regenerative practices**
Take one piece of fire-scarred, water-starved land and completely restore it. Bring the water back. Bring the soil back. Bring the food forest back. Build a landscape that gets cooler and more resilient exactly when the rest of the world is getting hotter and drier. Do it in the open, document every step and let this mountain become proof of concept for what every burned and depleted landscape on earth could become.
A physical demonstration site, sitting inside HOME, built on methods that have already worked at scale elsewhere on the planet.
**Governance approach**
Owner makes decisions: she is open to part owners coming in if they invest. $
**Community engagement**
We would like to serve change makers, environmentalist, people deep on the spiritual journey and regenerative communities.
**Team:** Lots of different people volunteer to help. Right now it's me and the owner ready to open for events. (4 people)
**Current funding:** No funding: just owners covering all costs
**Funding needs:** to build out food forest asap along with fire proofing mountain. Then expand barn for people to live on land while retreats take place
**Time commitment:** 2 days a week
